Robert Kraft had 283 diamonds set into the Patriots Super Bowl Ring and the reason is awesome!
After the Atlanta Falcon’s disastrous Super Bowl performance last year against the New England Patriots, giving up a 28-3 lead, Patriots Owner Robert Kraft commemorated the comeback by having 283 diamonds set in his team’s Super Bowl Rings.
Falcon’s owner Arthur Blank was not impressed.
According to the New York Times, Blank said that he found it unnecessary and tacky that Kraft would put 283 diamonds into the ring. Essentially mocking the Falcon’s for the biggest blown lead in the history of the Super Bowl.
“I said to Robert, ‘You didn’t have to do the 28-3 in the ring,’” Blank said. “It kind of pissed me off.”
Well, the nice thing about winning the Super Bowl is that you don’t have to care what other teams like.
